My name is Rissa Wray, and Thai Massage St. Pete is my private practice for the traditional healing art of Thai massage, as well as yoga, and Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage). I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (MA67263) and Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level, and I specialize in Thai massage, also known as Thai Yoga Massage.

In 2012, I traveled to Thailand to study with Integral Travel and Sunny Klaber, MA, CMT of the Integral Touch Institute, after receiving my license in massage therapy in 2011. Though I have a background in Swedish, Myofascial, and Neuromuscular massage from the Cortiva Institute - Florida, it is the art of Traditional Thai massage that has captured my heart!

In 2014, I became a registered yoga teacher at the 200 hour level, after studying with Jade Skinner of Sacred Space Yoga at the Body Electric Yoga Company. Jade provided me with an incredible foundation of traditional Ashtanga yoga, and from there I have been influenced by a wide array of practices and traditions - both yogic and non-yogic.

In 2015, I returned to Thailand and studied with Bob Haddad, founder of the Thai Healing Alliance International (THAI) at the Sunshine School in Chiang Mai. I also added a new modality to my repertoire - Chi Nei Tsang, a form of Chinese abdominal massage, or applied Chi Kung (Qigong) for internal organs treatment. I studied with Ohm Rinraya at her studio Omsala in Chiang Mai.

In August of 2016, I opened Moving Meditations, a space for multifaceted healing and movement therapy in West St. Pete, FL. We provided services in Thai massage, yoga, martial arts, and meditation to the community. And, in January 2017, I returned to Thailand to once again immerse myself in Thai healing culture and to spend time with the renowned teacher Pichest Boonthumme.

We closed the doors to the studio in May 2018, and I have continued to provide Thai massage and yoga to the residents and visitors of St. Petersburg. I am currently located at Be Well Health and Wellness Center in the Historic Kenwood neighborhood.

I am so grateful to get to share my passion for bodywork, mindfulness, and meditation with the St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay communities! First and foremost a student, I look forward to continuing my education in the healing arts for as long as I am able.
